Faraj Institute ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

Name and contact information, including email address, and mobile phone number when you sign up for text updates
Donation details, such as amount and date, processed through our donation platform
Registration details for classes, programs, and events, including the name and gender of each registrant
Messages you send us through our contact form

Donations are processed by Zeffy, and event registration payments are processed by PayPal. Payment card details are collected and handled entirely by those processors; we do not collect or store payment card numbers on our systems. When you register for an event, the name and gender you enter for each registrant, along with the email address associated with your PayPal payment, are transmitted to us to administer the registration.

How we use your information

To process donations and send confirmations and receipts
To send text messages you have opted in to receive (see below)
To communicate about classes, programs, and community events
To respond to your questions and requests
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Text messaging and mobile information

If you provide your mobile number and affirmatively opt in by signing up at farajinstitute.org/signup, Faraj Institute may send you text messages including donation confirmations and thank-you acknowledgements, fundraising appeals and campaign updates, announcements and reminders for classes and community events, holiday and religious greetings, and general updates about our programs.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Mobile numbers may be shared only with service providers that help us deliver messages on our behalf, such as our messaging platform, and only for that purpose.

Message frequency varies. You will receive a message each time you complete a donation, and we expect to send no more than approximately four additional messages per month.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages. For help, reply HELP or contact us at admin@farajinstitute.org. Full details are in our Terms and Conditions.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

With service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as our donation platform, email provider, and messaging provider, limited to what they need to perform that function
When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process
To protect the rights, safety, or property of Faraj Institute, our community, or the public

Data retention

We retain donation records for as long as required by applicable tax and nonprofit reporting rules. We retain contact and messaging information until you ask us to remove it or you opt out.

Your choices

Opt out of text messages by replying STOP to any message
Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information by contacting us

Children's privacy

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
